Delegating real work, not just asking questions

A chat reply ends when you close the window. Delegated work should outlive the conversation.

What it is

When you ask Souvéa to research something, draft something, analyse something or create something, it becomes a task rather than a message. Tasks have a lifecycle you can see: asked for, underway, done. You can start one and go and live your life.

Because tasks run against what you have already brought into Souvéa, the brief does not need to include your whole situation. That part is already there.

Why it helps

The gap between a chatbot and an assistant is whether anything happens when you are not watching. Tasks are that difference.

It also changes the shape of your involvement. You are reviewing and editing rather than starting from a blank page, which is the part most people find heavy.

When it earns its place

  • A piece of work you keep postponing

Hand over the first version. Editing something is a different kind of effort from beginning it.

  • Research you need but do not want to do

Set it going, get on with the day, come back to something you can read.

  • Analysis across your own material

Point it at the documents and data you have already brought in and ask what is actually true in there.

Things you can ask

  • “Draft this, using the version from last quarter as the shape.”
  • “Research this properly and tell me what you find.”
  • “Go through these documents and pull out what matters.”

What you get

  • Work in progress you can check on rather than a reply you have to sit and wait for.
  • First drafts to edit instead of blank pages to face.
  • Analysis grounded in your own material.

Try it with one thing you already have.
