Where is your AI request actually processed
Every AI request goes somewhere. Very few services tell you where. Here is why the answer matters and what to look for.
Two questions, often confused
The first question is where your information is stored. The second is the country or region where your request is processed when a model answers you. They can have completely different answers.
Most services answer the first one in a policy document and leave the second unanswered in daily use.
Why it matters in ordinary life
If you ask about a medical result, a contract or a family plan, the answer is built somewhere by someone else's infrastructure. Knowing which model handled it and in which country is basic information, not an expert concern.
It also matters for work. Many people simply need to know that a request stayed inside a particular region.
